30 Weeks...School is BACK in Session!

Ok, I have been terrible. We went home for Marcus's summer vacation and I didn't do one single update! But I have kept track of everything in our baby's book and journal, that is the important part!

So first things first, tonight I will do a quick baby girl update! I will work on the update about our trip, that may take me a few days, Ill do my best!

Baby girl is growing growing growing!!! She is now 3 lbs and almost 16 inches long! WHOA!! Now...the question is, where is she going to fit when she at least doubles that weight!?!? Im not sure!

This last couple of weeks, she has found my right side floating ribs; she has made it her personal responsibility to kick the crud out of them! She is head down  (to the left) and she is almost always sitting diagonally across my torso. The little sweetie is a dancer I am convinced. She goes crazy. Dancing and moving alllll the time  and we wouldn't have it any other way! The other night Marcus was blown away because he didn't realize exactly how much she moved. He is able to feel her all the time and we literally can watch her moving, but this night was different. He was playing music on the iPad and the closer he held it to my belly, the more she danced. She was on a role and my belly was moving all over the place, all he could do was laugh. We both got the giggles and she just kept dancing! It literally looked like my belly was popping!

Marcus is wonderful and with the help of a wonderful friend, Jared, rebuilt her closet before we left for Idaho to make it more functional.  I was tickled pink! I absolutely love it and am so so grateful to him!

 Before
After

We went to my brother and new sister in laws wedding, (which I will discuss more of in the next update) and that is where this photo was taken. I want to say....I was 26 weeks?? Im pretty sure.

And lastly, this is the most recent photo at 30, yes 30 weeks!!!! Holy smokes, I look HUGE!!!! I obviously always knew 30 weeks was coming, but I wasn't ready!!! It came so quickly! Our technical due date still stands at Oct 5, but the Dr would like me to deliver between the 21-27 of September. I hear this is something I won't complain about, but it seems SOO soon!! We are getting so excited!! I can't believe she will be here before we know it.

ow Far Along Are You? 23 Weeks
How Far Along Are You? 30 Weeks

Any Morning Sickness? Only about once a week now, and its usually triggered by a smell or if I haven't eaten!

Total Weight Gain? Lost 14 at the beginning from throwing up so much... I have gained back 13 of those. YIKES!

Are You Sleeping Well? Ummm no. This just started. I went through a good period of time where I could sleep pretty well, now that is no more! I do my best though!! :) Can't complain too much, she will be worth it!

Feeling Movement? Hahaha! An understatement. She is insane! Moving all the time, all times of day, kicking, punching, turning, watching my belly is entertaining.

Any Food Cravings?  Nothing really makes me sick anymore, but sometimes things just don't sound good. Cravings?? FRUIT!!! GIVE ME FRESH FRUIT! And lots of it!

Something New This week? ....new?? In the past couple weeks its been the floating rib abuse, we will count that as this weeks ;)

Do You Have a Name/Know Gender? Its a Girl!!! No official name. We have it narrowed down to three and her middle name is set, but we will have to see her I think before we pick from the three. We love them all though!

How's the Daddy-to-Be? Excited to be starting his second year and so excited for her to be here. He says all the time "when she is out..." :) She is going to be so loved by her daddy!

23 Weeks!! and...SCHOOLS OUT!!!

After 11 months Marcus has completed year one of Dental School! I couldn't be more proud and he couldn't be more relieved for a break!!! He did well and has felt good about the year! I am grateful he loves it as much as he does. He is excited however for his 5 weeks of NO studying! Then back at it! We are so so excited to head home to Idaho for a bit! I love my Idaho and we love more than anything being with our families. It is ideal!

We have come up to 23 Weeks! Baby Girl is active active active! She never (I mean never) stops moving! This week she has used her movement to remind me that she is in charge and brought me back to the nauseas stage ;) Her movement is wonderful and such a blessing! Just never ending :) Which we love! Marcus can feel her by resting his hand on my stomach and she just kick kick kicks him. He loves it! Reina also likes to sleep on my belly and can't figure out what is moving beneath her head...she has yet to figure it out!

We received her crib and dresser this week, we were so thrilled! Marcus had the crib set up within about 1/2 hr of it getting to the house, excited much? We absolutely love it, it is gorgeous!

We are very blessed to have Sherry who is willing to make some bedding for us! We didn't love anything in the stores and thought it would be more special to have it made anyway! So we went out looking for colors for the nursery. We ended up finding some adorable fabrics (very light pinks, mint greens / light teals / and yellows). We were happy with our findings! Then we went to Hobby Lobby and Marcus (yes MARCUS) made some good finds! We have a long ways to go but we found a few things and got excited for what was to come! We did also, change out the handles on the closet which helped, they were nasty gold.

So I swore up and down that I wouldn't go crazy pink with baby girls nursery. If we did any I wanted it to be light pinks and a less in more sort of thing. Well....Marcus and Holly convinced me otherwise. I'm still not SOLD on it, but we wanted to do cream stripes and somehow we came home with a soft pink for the stripes instead! I do love it, don't get me wrong, I am just always paranoid about home resale and also I really didn't want a lot of pink! But....its growing on me! :) Also, its only one wall and it will be mostly all thats pink besides a little in the bedding! :)

Like I said, we are at 23 weeks. Ive been up to two stomach injections a day to keep my blood nice and thin... for a few weeks now. Ive gotten more used to it; the mornings are fine but some nights I really really don't want to do it but Marcus distracts me and gets me talking and then BAM stabs me...that always helps! My stomach is getting a lot harder so bruising makes it look gross haha but we are grateful that we are being so blessed!!

How Far Along Are You? 23 Weeks

Any Morning Sickness? This week yes, she has been quite the jumping bean and its made me a bit sick, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Total Weight Gain? Lost 14 at the beginning, I have gained back 5 now.

Are You Sleeping Well?  I have one good day for every bad day! If I don't sleep at all the night before I sleep like a baby the next night! I have been able to nap a couple times a week which is crazy unheard of for a weissenbuehler. I have never been able to nap! But luckily I am able to :)

Feeling Movement? All the time!! She loves to punch and kick her daddy whenever he wants and I feel her quite literally all the time! Its the best!

Any Food Cravings?  Lemonade and watermelon ;)

Something New This week? Ive read that now she can feel me dance; that she now has the senses to experience movement! I can tell this when I am at the gym, she is extra active when I am working out or when I am swimming.

Do You Have a Name/Know Gender? Its a Girl!!! We have three names and a for sure middle name. But we will probably wait til we see her to pick from the 3.

How's the Daddy-to-Be? Excited about his baby girl. I am so so blessed! He is already so in love with her and gets to excited about each piece of this journey. Also...LESS STRESSED! School is out!!!

21 Weeks

We are now 21 weeks along! Baby Thayn has decided she is a gymnist and let's me feel her practicing from about 2am - 5am :) not one complaint however, I absolutely love it!! What a miracle it is!!

We registered this week... That was... Hard? You have this idea of all the things you think you need or want and then you get there and there are a million choices!! Every person or couple should be required to take along a mom with them! It was fun though :)

Not a lot has changed this week except I feel like a beached whale and lots more movement, so I'll do the list next week :)

BABY THAYN IS ON HER WAY!!!!

We are expecting!!!! And she is BEAUTIFUL and PERFECT!

This is old news at this point, but I wanted to group some info and photos together for families sake;)

We couldn't be more excited to be expecting our first baby. We were blessed with this incredible gift and we couldn't be more grateful! It has been a crazy road to get this far.

As a lot of you know, I have a blood disorder and have had issues with pulmonary embolisms in the past (blood clots in my lungs). Because of this, I have to do lovanox shots every day in my belly throughout the duration of my pregnancy and then post partum as well.  It was a challenge at first, I had forgotten about them since I last used them, and the harder my tummy gets the harder the shots get. But I will do anything to ensure that I get this baby here healthy while maintaining my health as well!!!

We found out we were expecting in February. My dad (who if any of you know him know how thrilled he is about this news) was here actually when we found out! I was incredibly sick at the beginning losing around 14 lbs.

(We found out on Sunday and this was the next day at the Dr's when we saw our little peanut)

I am so so blessed to have Marcus, it makes it easier when I don't have to do it myself every day, and he likes doing it...so win win!! lol
My mom is so sweet, they are so excited and it makes me so happy! She even sent baby Thayn a valentine. ( I was about 7 weeks along at this point)

A good good friend, Alisa, helped us take some photos for our pregnancy announcements.

During the first part of my pregnancy all I wanted was popcorn and lemonade. Because I wanted it? No. But because it was the only two things I wouldn't throw up for some reason. So I would air pop two batches of popcorn in the morning, leave it plain, and thats what I would eat all day long. At this point though, I can say the only three things I "crave" are marcus's homemade omelets (funny because I have never liked omelets) and Mexican food! This baby definitely has her daddy's taste.

This was at 15 weeks (I have already had 4 US at this point, yikes! SOOO thankful for good insurance, we only pay about 35 dollars per US)
On April 28 I felt the baby for the first time. It was the most incredible feeling and my heart quite literally exploded. I have never felt so much love!

With a few of our dental school families we had a bbq and impromptu made it into a gender reveal (quote from one of my girlfriends "Ive never been to an actual reveal party!! Do it! Please!" side note...that same friend was the only one who I accidentally spilled the beans to...totally ruined that for her)

YUM!!!
 ????
????
Its a GIRL!

We didn't care what the baby was, we were just so grateful to finally have them!! But we were ecstatic to finally know what she was!!!

Im pretty sure this picture makes me look bigger than I am...I hope anyway!  It was like 3 days after the reveal so I  couldn't have grown that much! lol Here is my pregnancy update :)

How Far Along Are You? 20 Weeks

Any Morning Sickness? Only in the mornings now, finally! I am fine with once a day...it was when it was 8 times a day that I couldn't handle it!

Total Weight Gain? Lost 14 at the beginning, I have gained back 2 of those lbs. I blame my time with mom and grandma....!!

Are You Sleeping Well? Ummm no. Haha I am a stomach sleeper so I am too distracted trying to avoid that and plus I have to get up to go to the bathroom a few times a night. But I am getting enough rest ;) Not too tired. Ive never needed much sleep.

Feeling Movement? She moves a lot in the evening. According to the Dr and the Ultrasound though, she is an extremely floppy baby! During our 19 week US she was doing flip after flip after flip. hahaha!

Any Food Cravings?  Omlets, mexican food, lemonade :)

Something New This week? Marcus can feel her now! He has been obsessed with the doppler and loves to come home and listen to his little girl at night, but now he can feel her, so we spend a lot of time with his hand on  my belly. It puts a damper on me getting things done but I don't blame him one bit:)

Do You Have a Name/Know Gender? Its a Girl!!! No name, we have a few ideas but we want to see her first :)

How's the Daddy-to-Be? Excited to be feeling his baby girl from the outside! Busy...busy busy trying to wrap up his first year of dental school :)

So We've Lived in Indy for...Almost A Year!

Alright...so truth be told it's a mix between I stink at blogging/journaling and also that I got locked out of my blog because apparently I made up a new email for it but totally forgot that I did that. I literally couldn't get into my blog and had to call all sorts of numbers and send all sorts of emails to the blog people in order to get back in! With that being said...we have lived in Indy for almost a year now! Rather than try to catch up every little thing we did, I have picked a few things to highlight mixed with some photos. You'll get the idea :)
We love it here, we have made incredible irreplaceable friends (this I cannot emphasize enough), and Marcus is loving Dental School. He is doing great and has about 3 weeks left before a small summer break! Yes, we are expecting our first baby but that will come in the next post ;)

Last fall we were able to find some incredible camping ... (Im awesome at camping...?)
We went with the Kirkwoods to a pumpkin patch/orchard. It was gorgeous and a welcome to the Fall!
We used the gorgeous city as a background for our Christmas photos.
In November we had a visit from Marcus's parents
The gorgeous city of Indy offers a beautiful background
We had a VERY merry Christmas in Idaho with our families!! We were able to spend Marcus's entire break there and we loved every single minute of it.
We returned to the worst winter Indy has seen in over 15 years. Temps as low as -45 windchill and the city even shut down for a few days making it illegal to be our on the roads. It was insane!
Our home had been renovated by the previous owner, but the only thing she didn't get a chance to do with our guest bathroom upstairs. So we decide to give it a quick facelift :) BEFORE 1/2
 BEFORE 2/2
 AFTER 1/2
 AFTER 2/2
We have been so blessed, we have had so many visitors. My parents, both of my sisters, Marcus's parents, and then THESE two lovely ladies!!!! We had the best girls weekend, I am so so lucky to know these two and call them the very dearest of friends!! We had a blast (despite me throwing up the whole time they were here...so sorry girls) I couldn't have asked for a more fun time! Muah Muah MUAHHH! Thank you Megan and Larissa!
A little while after that we had Tabor (Marcus's brother) and Rachel and their little girl Hazel come visit. We had so much fun showing them a little bit of Indy :)
For Spring Break we went to NYC and Washington DC. It was insane how much we packed into a week, but we did it!! And we had a blast! We stayed with my nanny family for our time in NYC and then moved on to DC.
My boys (only 2 pictured here) had grown up so much! It was insane to see them and the young men they had become. It was so incredible to spend time with Kyle (nanny mom) we had some girl time to just talk and catch up. I had a blast showing marcus a city that I love so very much.
Outside my nanny families home on the Long Island sound
I missed Kyle so much! I am so grateful for the friendship we have maintained and that we have an ongoing relationship.
We moved onto DC (which I could show you millions of pictures of) But here is a quick collage. We walked miles and miles because I wanted Marcus to see as much as possible! We saw so much! We were exhausted every day (and I will still very sick at this point) but we did it!!!
This spring a tragedy took two of my neighbors homes. I looked out my window because Reina was barking and this is what I saw. Two homes were completely lost and two others had sides destroyed. The owners and pets were all safe. It was insane to watch in person.
We were so blessed to go home for Easter! I stayed for a couple of weeks but marcus was able to at least come for Easter Weekend. Mom (Grandma) was so sweet and even made the baby an Easter Basket.
Reina and I had a chance to go to the coast and see Grandma and Grandpa weissenbuehler before returning to Indy. We had so much fun!!!
PHEW!!!!!! So much has happened. I have just barely scratched the surface. All in all we have been extremely blessed since we have been here!! We are loving life and are soooo excited to take a break and go home for a little bit this summer!
