May 1st

How in the heck is it may 1st! Going to church today, not going to lie I had no idea it was may already so we missed the chance to fast today with our ward but seriously, how is it May? It was a busy week of avoiding home so that daddy could study lots! So let's get to it.

Marcus: has finals next week! It's going to be okay except for 1 final that he really needs to nail. So prayers and tons of studying which he has been doing. Next week is going to be a long one but I know he'll be prepared!! He took a break tonight to go on a walk with us and he has taken a few minutes each evening to cuddle and play with Harper. And he always gives her her bottle, nothing has changed there, she can't miss that daddy time :) we can't wait to have him back!!

Andrea/Harper: we went to the zoo Monday, it was so beautiful out! We took Amanda and met Meghan there, it was so sunny we even got sun burns! (Don't worry Harper had sun screen on) it was a beautiful fun day out. Harper has been missing daddy so much so we swung into the school after the zoo knowing daddy was on lunch... Mistake. It was all great until he had to go treat a patient and we had to leave. Dang this girl loves her dad. But we made it! Tuesday I had an appointment in the morning and then Harper and I enjoyed some time up north to de-stress. We met Meghan and Claire and shopped for a little bit at Keystone.

Harper is getting more and more independent, it's hilarious. Whenever I say Harper she says "mama, what?" Haha it's adorable. And I can ask her questions or to do things and she does it! She responds she acts, she listens. It's so fun! She has become pretty helpful actually! We clean up toys twice a day, she helps me in the kitchen and around the house, I can trust her to play on her own, she is my big girl!! One thing that's so funny and relatively new is "hugs". Not just any hug but double hug. Has to be holding both me and daddy at the same time! It's my favorite thing.

Finals next week, here we go!!!

April 24th

Marcus: guess what he did, studied :) he a actually took time though Saturday to golf! I forgot to mention that last week. But he was pretty norm this week :) he did however get ready for a campout he went on Friday. He built the boys a camp box and got all the supplies and food ready. With all the rain it was a muddy affair but it was a camporee so the classes and things were taken care of which helped during his "finals therefore limited time" craziness. He is so great with the young men, makes me happy.

Andrea: spent Monday and Tuesday wth Ashley and her babes and Jason (Ashley's husband) even convinced me to leave Harper Monday night so we could do a moms night out. I cried for about the first 20 min of the drive... You guys I don't leave Harper. Except with her daddy or my mother/sisters lol I'm pathetic! So to have someone else put her to sleep and knowing she may cry a minute or two while I was gone just about did me in! But Ashley and Jason were so great and so patient with me. And I did it!!! I did it!! Ashley and I went to dinner and did some serious shopping, it was so great. Just like we always have! It was seriously the greatest week, we had so much fun and can't thank Jason and Ashley enough for hosting, driving three hours each way to get us to and feel the airport... These are some incredible people!
We came home Tuesday, I helped get food ready for Marcus's camp, did some prep work for our dear friends the vaughns gender reveal (spoiled alert it's a GIRL!!!) and helped with cake and food prep for a stake dinner Friday night. Wednesday night there was also a little going away celebration for 3 ladies leaving Indy with their husbands, finished with medical and dental school. It was a fun get together but very bittersweet. So sad to see them go but so excited for their future adventures! Also, it was an insane reminder that that will be us next year... Pheww! Busy week, tired mama! Saturday was the gender reveal and it was absolutely perfect. A picture off of Pinterest!! The vaughns are being blessed with a little girl and that little angel is soooooo loved already!! Your auntie drea loves you sweet pea!

Harper: can I just say a giant ditto to mine? Only because this sweet girl, she puts up with so much! When I am so busy and don't ever say no, she just follows along with me and goes with the flow. She is most assuredly my little side kick. She did have some fun flying though, this girl loves attention. While waiting in Baltimore Harper had dozens of people wrapped tightly around her tiny finger. She was getting more attention than she knew what to do with, it was almost embarrassing. On one of the flights she even had a "grandpa" sitting next to her and she spent the entire time bugging the poor man and getting him to play with every toy she had and read her every book. He was such a great sport and said he didn't get to see his 4 grand babies enough so he was happy to entertain her. I even had a beverage on that flight.... What?!? I never get those! Haha she is so awesome. I love this little mini me and I'm so thankful every day that Heavenly Father entrusted us with her. She is our angel 😇

No she didn't wear this she was trying on a skirt over leggings 😂😂😂

April 17th

This week started out with packing laundry and lots of daddy snuggles! Harper and I flew here to Maine on Wednesday to spend a week with one of my dearest friends, Ashley! We have been friends since 3rd grade. Forever! I love her so so much! We've been there for the most important parts of each other's lives and she means so much to me. She hold a very special place in my heart!

Marcus: at home, studying! He has a test next week and a few projects/papers due so we are leaving just in time! He'll have lots of time and space to study and work on school (he isn't happy about this mind you...) he and Harper spent the first few days pretty attached to one another, daddy knowing why Harper not so much. She has missed daddy doing bedtime routine, I don't think I'm quite as good as he is but she'll have to be okay with me for a couple more days too I get home! We miss you daddy!

Andrea: getting to see Ashley!!! Hallelujah!!! I have to say, I have some of the most incredible friends on the planet. Friendships are important to me, they always have been. There are people from my early years of life like Ashley, who I still am in constant contact with. To some it's easy to move through friends with each phase of life and that's okay! But I just chose to bring them all with me! Elementary, junior high, high school, college and now dental school, I have people in my life from each of those phases and I intend to keep it that way! Anyway! Ashley. Gosh I love her. When I'm with Ashley I feel nooooo stress. She takes me for exactly what I am, down to the studs. I laugh so much with her, we can be absolutely ridiculous and silly and sometimes borderline inappropriate and honest and raw... It's so great. I love her so much and it's going to break my heart to leave and not know for sure when I'll see her again. Thank goodness for FaceTime (and snapchat 😂) and we still have a few more days!

Harper: loving all this attention from Zoey and Jensen! we have shopped, played a lot at the house, shopped some more, drove a lot, went swimming ... We have had so much fun and Harper has gone to bed tired and happy every night! She of course misses daddy and has to FaceTime him lots but we are having so much fun! She did great on the flight as always, she is such a great traveller (knock on wood)!
